Robert Turrell
Robert Turrell: Since early success as a student winning all his music college competitions
for string and chamber music playing, Robert has worked with more than 30 symphony
& chamber orchestras. He has given viola master classes in the Europe, USA, China,
Cyprus and Australia and is the Artistic Director of “Music in Tuscany”, a centre
for chamber music excellence in Italy working mainly with American students from
the top American music schools. Robert also teaches viola and chamber music at The
Royal Academy of Music (Junior Department) and is currently setting up a new string
programme for the University of Bath as well as running a successful private teaching
studio in Bath.
Robert has a passion for chamber music and instrumental teaching and
a strong desire to pass on his expertise through the various music courses he is
involved with. He has an established reputation for producing rapid student improvement
supported by sound technique and musicianship.
Robert is the principal conductor of The Philomusica of London, one of the longest established chamber orchestras in the world and guest conductor with many orchestras around the globe.
